About Liver Health Scan
Liver Health Scan offers FibroScan® across Melbourne and Regional Victoria. We are a mobile service operating across multiple locations. Our scans are performed by qualified practitioners with a special interest in liver health and trained in FibroScan® technique.
FibroScan® is a non-invasive procedure, that estimates the degree of fibrosis (scarring) and quantifies the amount of fatty infiltration in the liver. FibroScan® uses a series of pulsed low-frequency vibrations to measure liver stiffness and fatty changes. This aids in diagnosing and monitoring the progression of liver disease and damage, and allows for early detection of disease that may not be present on routine blood tests.
With one the few privately owned FibroScan® machines in Victoria, Liver Health Scan are able to offer a service across a range of locations with short wait times, at a minimal cost for patients.
